Our Plumbing & HVAC Story

A Word From Our Owner, Dan Abbey

The company started in 1976, L Russell, Abbey, who was my dad. He started in plumbing at a high school in 1956. He started out service plumbing in Germantown.

Then was drafted in the army for two years in 1961 and 62. Then cut out of the army, enjoying the Philadelphia plumbers union and was in the union until 1976. He started out in Ambler, and he did service, plumbing, and drain cleaning and heating.

He handled the operations of the company until 2000. And then I took over operations in 2000. I’ve been doing it ever since. I added the HVAC, and we do service on all major brands for HVAC heat pumps. We do all air conditioning, service, and installs, high-efficiency, and chimney venting.

All of our drain cleaning and camera work and scoping of all sewer lines. We do water heater, change out and tankless water, heater, installations, and service and we do installs of toilet service of toilets.

We also redo, shower valves, kitchen faucets, bathroom sink, faucets, outside hose bibs, washers and dryers, dishwashers. I will drain cleaning of small lines for all your sinks, etc. and you’re outside main drains.

We do the dig up southside, water services and sewer drains. We have six service trucks on the road every day Jacquelyn, who is my wife as well as a helper, Jennifer in the office and myself do all the scheduling I do most of the estimating, etc. on the road and checking things out. All my mechanics are very professional, have uniforms and let her trucks I myself have 35 years’ experience. My dad is now retired, and he had 50 years’ experience. My HVAC mechanics and Helpers have 30 years’ experience. My plumbers each have about 20 years’ experience.

So when we send the mechanics out, you know you’re going to get very good experienced professional and clean and knowing that the job is going to get done, right.
